Threshing the Millet, Togo
"This painting is in my office at work. I painted it myself and paid for the framing—nothing was invested or owned by the company."
Women lift their voices in song as they move in rhythm—one rising, one descending—caught in the raw, physical labor of thrashing. The scene is grounded and visceral, yet Michael renders it with grace, illuminating the deep, almost sacred connection between the people and the land they work.
Size: 30x40 inches
