"When we attended Canyon Ranch in Tucson for Linda's 50th birthday party, I went on an early morning hike in the Sonoran Desert. This picture is at 6:30 AM. Bob Garlock said the picture was surreal. I did the Saguaro cacti justice, unlike so many of the other paintings I’ve observed. They are subtle and take work. They are a keystone species in the Sonoran Desert."
