Cordes du Ciel

"One of Linda’s favorite paintings, waiting to be varnished and go into a frame already on the wall. The lighting and shadow in the stone make this picture interesting. “Ciel” is sky in French and the sky was brilliant that day on this town on a cliff.

I have yet to confirm, but this building could be from the 13th or 14th centuries --likely around the same time when the town was built. It was a fortified town and fortunately it was preserved, while other places were destroyed by the French Revolution and World War II. Near this setting in the square, there are great views from its high point. You can see how strong the colors and light are from the digitals. For that reason, I always paint from the digitals."
